Pedagogical and axiological foundations of volunteer activity: modern volunteer practices

The article presents an analysis of scienti c and methodological approaches to the study of the phenomenon of «volunteerism», de nes the pedagogical foundations for the study of volunteer initiatives and innovations, and examines volunteer practices in the eld of traditional Russian spiritual and moral values. The institutional forms of volunteerism are considered in the context of their formation and functioning on the basis of pedagogical, axiological, sociocultural approaches and the use of sociological methods in the study of the motivational and value semantic structure of the personality of volunteer students. The authors present the characteristics and forms of development of traditional values of participants in volunteer activities, show the experience of creating a Volunteer center at the Krasnoyarsk State Agrarian University and the Student Association «Volunteers of Culture» at the Kemerovo State Institute of Culture. In the conclusions, attention is focused on the importance of studying the pedagogical and axiological foundations of volunteerism in order to determine the value socio cultural constants, personal self determination of student youth and identify relevant modern volunteer practices in the development of the institute of volunteerism of the Russian civil society.
