The pedagogical basis of preparation of sports’ managers at the university of physical training and sport

The relevance of the paper lies in the contradiction between the need in specialists for the various branches of social sphere of national economy and the low level of skills of the graduates of physical culture universities. This contradiction can be presented at the social, scientific, and methodical levels. It is integrally connected with the competence-based approach to educational process. The purpose of the paper is to specify the formation of Master’s students, sport managers in the sphere of physical culture and sport. Special attention is given to the humanitarian component of the competence and the review of the literature about the modern condition of pedagogical science and practice of economic education in higher education institution of physical culture. The methods used are supervision, conversation, analysis, generalization, questioning, analysis. Authors give the rationale for the content of the professional training of sport’s managers enabling to increase the efficiency of the process of knowledge acquisition and skills’ formation. The authors suggest that the educational process should be organized on the basis of competence approach with modular and competence model of education using rating system. The need to increase the competence of educators is emphasized. It can be achieved by developing new evaluation criteria based on the competence approach. The results of the study can be used in higher education institutions of physical culture and sport.
