Introduction. The objective is to substantiate the approaches to building pedagogical environment that creates prerequisites for the formation of both legal competencies and practical skills of physical coercion in law enforcement officers. Materials, Results and Discussion. Against the background of the growing number of crimes committed through the use of information and telecommunications networks and the active remote influence of attackers on victims, there has been no decrease in aggressive forms of criminal behaviour, often directed at law enforcement officers. The sophisticated nature of criminals' violence actualizes the search for reserves to increase the effectiveness of the use of physical coercive measures by law enforcement officers when necessary. Formation of officers’ skills in using physical coercion should have an inter-discipline legal basis.
