The article addresses the problem of preventing deviant behavior of students of engineering and technical universities, the possibility of developing and adjusting the personal qualities of future engineers that are in demand at enterprises, in professional communities and labor collectives with the help of traditional and innovative psychological and pedagogical means. The article explores the possibilities of preventing computer gambling. Aspects that allow to distinguish between e-sports and electronic gambling are touched upon. The article presents the options for the positive and negative impact of modern technical and technological means that may be available to students and can also be used by teachers of various universities in training of future professionals of various industries. At the same time, the question is raised that future professionals should have properly formed personal qualities related to the attitude to society as a whole.
