Pedagogical potential of educational standard

The research work is devoted to educational standard pedagogical potential. The article deals with pedagogical potential of the state educational standard for higher vocational education in the sphere of culture and art according to the speciality «Library and information services». One of the main parameters to estimate pedagogical potential is the competence acquired by students. The key-note of the article is competence formation based on the discipline level (general pedagogical disciplines, specializations, special courses) and corresponding teaching subjects.
