In the article the author analyses the problem of integration and differentiation of pedagogy and cultural studies. Provides a detailed comparison of the concepts of «cultural studies in education» and «teaching cultural studies». Teaching cultural studies is defined as a branch of modern pedagogy, which tends towards integration of knowledge about the formation of man as a subject of culture. The necessity of preservation of the traditional practices of socio-cultural activities, folk art, and the library and information activities, as well as unique scientific specialties, defining the theoretical approaches to the analysis of these phenomena.
