Teacher: the components of authority in the context of digitalization

The problem of maintaining the authority of a teacher in the modern conditions of digitalization is considered. A fundamental difference has been revealed between the traditional understanding of authority, characteristic of the educational system of the past, and the new one associated with ideas about image, prestige, and competence. The necessity of studying the authority of a teacher in connection with terminological, meaningful and structural changes in social and psychological science and practice has been substantiated. Based on the works of such classics of social and psychological cognition as M.Yu. Kondratyev, various aspects of the teacher's authority are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the structure, dynamics and new formations of the teacher's authority in the modern world.
