The study investigated the featuresof stromal microenvironment of the bone marrow(BM) in trepanobioptates of the iliac bone in 30 patients with multiple myeloma (MM) aged 48 to78 years (median age 56 years) before and aftertreatment of the disease. Histological, immunohistochemical, and cultural research methods wereused. Morphofunctional changes in key structuresof the BM stromal microenvironment were established: an increase in the density of microvessels inthe vascular niche, and an increase in the numberof endostal stromal cells.
