Translation of metaphor as a method of inter-language broadcasting of images of the world (by the material of Koran translations)

This paper describes the ways of transferring the meanings of metaphors from Arabic into Russian on the basis of various types of translations of the Koran. The study found meanings that are adequately reflected in Russian translations, identified semantic components that are not reflected or not accurately represented in Russian translations, and also revealed similarities and differences in the semantic-stylistic, socio-cultural order between Russian and Arabic texts. In the course of describing the translation of metaphors, moments of convergence and divergence of cultural and linguistic spaces are noted. The study reveals the importance of the translator's knowledge, skill and depth of his penetration into the semantics of each word, taking into account its cultural and cognitive context in the transfer of meanings from Arabic to Russian.
