The translation of metaphor in poetry by W.B. Yeats

This paper aims to provide a comparative analysis of the metaphor translation techniques used in translations of English metaphors found in poetry by W.B. Yeats into Russian. This analysis gives a further assessment of the translation decisions based upon the concepts of the “adequate” and “equivalent” translation and shapes a joint translation strategy.
