Translation of comparisons in audiovisual translation: problems and difficulties

This article is devoted to the problem of transmission comparisons in audiovisual content. The concept of comparison, the main methods of translating comparisons, as well as ways of transmission comparisons in German are considered. Based on the analysis of the original (German-language) and translated (Russian-language) versions of the documentary "Russland von oben" \ "Russia from Above", the main translation methods and problems of translating comparisons in audiovisual translation were determined.
