Translation equivalents of terminological verbal groups in compiling a dictionary of mechanical engineering domain

This article analyses the data of the dictionary based on the translation of the English-language text corpus of the mechanical engineering domain, namely the manuals for the induction motors and guidelines for the use of software for three-dimensional size analysis and quality control. A set of terminological verbal groups included into the dictionary is described and classified. Their translation equivalents are considered. The result of the work carried out is terminological verbal vocabulary forming the dictionary entries, as well as an analysis of the frequency distribution of certain types of terminological verbal groups in scientific and technical text and transformations applied during their translation. The data obtained can serve as a methodological basis for further work with texts in the scientific and technical field of knowledge, as well as guidelines for teaching peculiarities of technical text translation.
