The study discusses the acts of aggression in adolescence and the relationships between aggressiveness and perfectionism. The author examines the indicators of aggressiveness and perfectionism in 115 high school students of Moscow comprehensive schools. The research identifies the interrelation of aggression, anger, and hostility with such components of perfectionism as the selection of information about students’ failures and mistakes, the perception of others as people delegating high expectations, the ongoing comparison of themselves with others focusing on the most successful people. Personal characteristics, in particular perfectionism, are interpreted as predictors of aggressiveness that make it possible to prevent the aggressive behavior of adolescents.
