Perm version of educational-methodological complex (EMC) for computing science and its role in digital literacy development of students (25-anniversary of Perm version)

The article describes the development of Perm version of Educational-Methodological Complex (EMC) for teaching computing science to students in 7-11 grades of general education schools between 1994 and 2018. The spiral approach to learning of basic concepts and understandings is outlined and the main themes of each level of study (basic level in 7-9 grades, basic level in 9-11 grades and advanced level in 10-11 grades) are highlighted. The author analyses the advantages and limitations of the EMC according to the responses of computing science teachers and its compliance with the requirements of the Unified State Exam (USE) in computing science. The author also considers prospects of development of the EMC.
