Perspective in literary translation: the cognitive-aesthetic facet

Adopting the cognitive perspective, the author outlines the function of the perspective in the literary translation process construed as a mode of aesthetic cognition. Certain structural-functional principles of perspectivation are discussed, the translator's perspective defined as constitutive of linguistic construal while translating and as the driving cognitive force behind translation variability. That ensures instrumental value of the multifaceted notion in question for the literary translation studies and the literary translation practice.
