The article reveals prospects of digital transformation of public administration. The digital transformation of public administration in Russia represents a fundamental revision of the principles of interaction between citizens and state by affirming digitalization as one of the strategic goals of development. It is not just the automation of processes that is gaining relevance, but the creation of a new governance model – a “smart state”. The authors examined features of digital transformation of public administration, identified challenges and risks, as well as revealed prospects in Russia.
