Prospects for the application of cloud technologies for information storage

The article describes the prospects of using cloud technologies for information storage, identifies their advantages and disadvantages. Special attention is paid to the main types of cloud storage, including file, block and object storage. Their capabilities, existing limitations and the most acceptable spheres of application are noted. The features of cloud technologies that are useful for data storage are also highlighted. In addition, the paper presents the results of comparison of traditional information storage tools and cloud technologies.
