Prospects for the development of international cooperation in the activities of the commissioner for human rights in the Russian Federation

The scientific article is devoted to the consideration of the prospects for the development of international cooperation in the activities of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation. The article lists a number of international documents that form the normative basis for the functioning of ombudsmen and national human rights bodies. Also in these documents specific mechanisms of interaction between human rights bodies were fixed. Based on the results of the study, the author comes to the conclusion that strengthening the human rights activities of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation at the international level requires integration with world human rights communities, development of relationships with national human rights bodies of foreign states, as well as formalization of international cooperation with these bodies.
