The prospects of Podolsky municipal district development as a factor of tourist destination promotion

The article evaluates the tourist-destination-development prospects for Podolsky Municipal District. The city of Podolsk is on the top-20 list of Moscow region greatest cultural and historical centres. In addition to the major contributors to the industry of hospitality, added incentive is provided by related spheres, such as the agricultural sector (rural tourism), education (professional training in service and tourism), physical culture and sports (sports tourism, recreational tourism), general beautification and ecological improvement (ecotourism), traffic infrastructure.
