Article provides an overview of main aspects of retail chain stores'' private labels development, analyzed the main advantages of private label development, information about the share of sales of private labels owned by retail chain store in Russia and abroad is presented, advantages and disadvantages of cooperation between retail chain stores and producers analyzed, latest direction of governmental regulation are considered and possible consequences of the measures analyzed, overview of main internal and external factors, which influence the development of private labels are considered.
