The prospects of development of the All-Russian athletic health-improving complex “Ready for Labour and Defense” in the Kirov region

The article deals with the revival of the All-Russian athletic health-improving complex “Ready for Labour and Defense". The author reviews the change of the role of sports activities in human life since the beginning of human existence. It is emphasized that sports activities are essential for a modern human being, including with the objective of countering diseases of the century (hypodynamia, stroke). The paper considers a set of activities carried out in the Kirov region aimed at the development of sports movement (installation of training devices in the yards of apartment houses, creation of sports facilities, carrying out of sports events).
