In light of the announced free trade agreement between the EEU countries and Mongolia, this article addresses the prospects for deepening trade and economic relations between the countries. The authors have concluded that deepening economic relations is undoubtedly necessary for all parties, as it aligns with their economic and geopolitical interests. The article evaluates the current state of trade and economic relations between Mongolia and the EEU, showing positive dynamics but noting the relatively low share of these countries in trade flows. The potential for deepening trade relations in several product categories is identified, and the underutilized export potential is assessed. Prospective directions for further development of trade and economic relations are proposed, including: cross-border cooperation to develop cross-border SME initiatives; improving transport and logistics infrastructure to reduce costs and enhance the competitiveness of goods in mutual trade; and involving Mongolia as an observer in the EEU to increase the effectiveness of integration processes and the informational support of the Union's activities.
