First Yukaghir story of Teki Odulok in the context of the literature of the peoples of the north

The article the need for a broad contextual approach to works of national Russian literatures is proved. The selected aspect is designed to comprehend the first Yukaghir story “The Life of the Imteurgin the Elder” by Taki Odulok as an artistic and historical phenomenon and to reveal its place in the history of the Yukaghir literature and the small peoples of the North. Appeal to the contextual method of text research allowed to reveal its artistic constants, as well as to present a phenomenological interpretation of the story in the context of the history of literature of the northerners. The specificity of the national perception of the world, the national speech behavior of the Yukagirs is fully reflected in the narrative. The desire to be ready for the "new challenges of the cultures survival" and the strategy of synthesis of the experience of Russian literature and the national tradition, used by T. Odulok's story, determined its originality and aesthetic identity of the Yukaghir literature as a whole.
