First post-soviet Russian manual on history of pedagogy

The first post-Soviet Russian manual on the history of Pedagogy was the book by G. B. Kornetov “World History of Pedagogy” (M., 1994). For the first time the book presented the development of the world historico-pedagogical process in a logical way from the perspective of the theory of civilizational approach. This approach made it possible to accentuate not the total amount of knowledge which the students are supposed to learn, but the generalizing theoretical scheme which each of them could specificate in the process of training, consulting the sources and literature while working on their own.
