First experience of trombovasim using for lysis of atrial thrombus in patients with atrial fibrillation

The aim of this study was to test Trombovasim effect as a thrombolytic in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF). Fourteen patients were included in this study: 7 patients had permanent AF, 4 - persistent AF, 2 - paroxysmal AF, 1 - paroxysmal atrial flutter. According to the transesophageal echocardiographic exaninations data all these patients had thrombosis: 12 - in left atrial appendage, 1 in left atrial wall, 1 - in right atrial appendage. Trombovasim (700 U 3 times a day during 7 days) was prescribed to all patients and then control transesophageal echocardiographic was performed. According to these data twelve patients did not have atrial thrombosis after therapy with trombovasim. One patient required more 14 days of therapy. The serum fibrinogen and fibrinmonomer complex levels remained unchanged. Adverse events of this therapy were not registered.
