The article is devoted to the reconstruction, based on the materials of the personal file of Metropolitan Pitirim (Nechaev) in the Archives of the Moscow Theological Academy and the personal fund of His Eminence in the Scientific Research Department of Manuscripts of the Russian State Library (F.938), of official and teaching activities at the Higher Theological School of Moscow, of which he was a graduate and one of the first professorial fellows (1951), and then He taught at the Academy until the beginning of 1992, following the path of professionalization to Doctor of theology, professor. During this time, the future Metropolitan and longterm chairman of the Publishing Department of the Moscow Patriarchate served as an inspector, associate professor, and then professor of the Department of Analysis of Western Confessions at the Academy of Obedience, combining teaching with his numerous churchwide areas of work. Sources present him as an original and informative teacher, a caring reviewer, teacher and researcher who was interested in the history of the Moscow Art Academy and the improvement of its academic practices in modern times, and an attentive portraitist of his contemporaries. The article reveals significant biographical data; it contains representative materials on the history of the higher theological school of the Russian Orthodox Church for more than 40 years. It is characteristic that his service at the Academy has generated an extensive body of not only formal official sources (reports and reports, forms, memos, etc.), but also characteristic graphic and visual sources from cartoons and sketches of Father Konstantin - Vladyka Pitirim to photographic documents with his participation, reflecting elements of corporate culture, significant and everyday events of academic life the second half of the twentieth century.
