Planning and management of the resources in the production of decorative and applied art items

The article considers the actual problems of managing resources in the production of the author’s ceramics. Widespread methods of planning and controlling the raw materials, equipment and labor resources as the push system, just-in-time principle, and hybrid models have been studied. The strengths and weaknesses of each method are revealed in relation to the specifics of single production of artistic products. Special attention is paid to the information technology used in managing resources and analytical tools. The experience of the Russian and international business communities in this industry is analyzed, effective strategies for reducing costs, speeding up the production cycle and increasing profitability are suggested. The conclusions will be useful for the managers, specialists and students interested in improving the efficiency of decorative and applied arts enterprises.
