The basic directions and peculiarities of theory of musical therapy in the modern People’s Republic of China are revealed and characterized. It is demonstrated how the current situation in the sphere of theory of musical therapy can influence the creation of the concept of training the students of musical universities in the People’s Republic of China for the implementation of the therapeutic function of musical arts.
