The problem of research and justification of its relevance. The article highlights the problem of special training of teachers to work with potentially gifted students in the process of professional development. There is an acute shortage of additional professional programs aimed at training teachers to work with potentially gifted children. Methodology (materials and methods). The article describes the areas of work with gifted children that are implemented in Russian schools: deep subject training of children with identified intellectual gifts; work with children who are gifted in a subject area that is alien to the teacher, in sports or art; work with children with undeclared or potential gifts. An approach that improves the effectiveness of teaching by teachers in the framework of advanced training courses aimed at preparing them to work with gifted children is outlined. This approach is a modular approach to determining the structure of an additional professional program, which allows you to flexibly respond to individual requests of teachers in the course of course training, and design individual educational and professional routes for students of advanced training courses when preparing them to work with potentially gifted children. Results. A variant of an additional professional program developed with a focus on implementation using educational technologies and intended for remote training of teachers to work with potentially gifted children is revealed. The author identifies the pedagogical conditions that ensure the effectiveness of teacher training to work with gifted children in the process of professional development: designing an individual educational and professional route for teacher training to work with gifted children; supporting teacher training to work with gifted children; monitoring the process of preparing teachers to work with gifted children.
