Approaches to Solving Problems Arising in the Study of Graphic Disciplines by Foreign Students of Russian Technical Universities

An overview of the current problems of foreign students studying in higher educational institutions of Russia is presented. The roles of the language barrier and the level of geometric and graphic training in the emergence of diffi culties in studying graphic disciplines are determined. The educational program of the course “Drawing” for foreign students of the preparatory department, developed at the Department of Descriptive Geometry and Graphics of the Volga State Technological University, is described, allowing to systematically solve the existing problems. A conclusion is made about the eff ectiveness of the proposed system of work.
