Philosopher Inan Ilyin’s Trip to Yugoslavia: Little –Known Episodes of his Life

The article is devoted to the trip to Yugoslavia of the outstanding philosopher, religious and national thinker, and prominent representative of the Russian Diaspora, Professor Ivan Aleksandrovich Ilyin. The authors present to the scientifi c community previously unknown facts and unpublished Serbian materials on the Russian thinker’s stay in Belgrade. For the fi rst time, an excerpt from the thinker’s speech, delivered on the occasion of the death of the Yugoslav King Alexander I Karađorđević [Karadjordjevic], is presented in Russian. The article contains a description of the lecture “The Creative Idea of Our Future” given by I.A. Ilyin at the Russian House in Belgrade. The authors reconstruct Ilyin’s spiritual and psychological state and analyze his correspondence with I. Shmelev.
