The article is devoted to the problem of finding new volume-planning solutions of classrooms taking into account their illumination. The idea that such a search is necessary in the context of the development of the education system is justified. The requirements of regulatory documents imposed in the domestic practice on the configuration and lighting of classrooms have been studied. The need for a more diverse typology of class cell forms is determined, based on the functional processes that take place in them, taking into account the nature of their illumination. Several volume-planning solutions of classrooms with different systems of educational space organization are offered. The work focuses on the analysis of class illumination. Natural illumination coefficient is calculated. Thus, new forms of class cells were found taking into account their illumination.
