Emergence and formation of a «Scholarly estate» in Russia of late XVII — first half of XVIII c.: its structure and peculiarities

This article deals with appearance of the new phenomenon in Russian society at the end of XVII — first half of the XVIII c. — Scholarly estate, about new people in Russian society during the time of Peter the Great and after. These people were involved in the process of establishing a new system of professional science and education in Russia.
