The article is devoted to the narrative poetics in V. Rasputin’s collection of essays "Siberia, Siberia...". V. Rasputin's statements about Siberia reflect the author's individual codes and personal principles of his work. While analyzing V. Rasputin’s narrative poetics, we have taken into account the manifestation of the people's word as a carrier of the historical memory, development of a mythological plan for the text, revealing of allusion as a literary technique, and consideration of a rhetorical question as a means of enhancing the expressiveness of an utterance. The narrative strategies are not so much the author's intention, but a natural expression of the unique poetics of Siberian narratives peculiar to Rasputin. The article studies the writer's approaches to understanding the historical memory, reliance on the traditions of folk culture and opposition to modernist and other experiments in literature.
