The article focuses on the analysis of Sasha Cherny’s poetic cycles On Lithuania and The Alien Sun, which reflect the first impressions of the poet who left his homeland. The Land, sheltered Russian immigrants, is generous, rich and good; the beauty of its nature is being admired, hence, many poems include bright and colorful landscape descriptions. However, the author of the article shows that a joyful and harmonious world of nature is constantly broken by depression and sadness of the lyrical hero, his pain is associated with the past - the abandoned homeland, a new Soviet Russia.
