The system of higher education is closely related to the society that due to economic, social, mental, ethical, religious problems sets new requirements for a specialist. The important task of higher education is the development of spirituality and culture, aesthetic tastes of people of all social and age groups in the context of spiritual, moral and aesthetic ideals. Hence, the task of institutions of higher education is the training of such specialists who by means of their actions, appraisals and mentality will take part in cultural and spiritual life of the society. So it becomes very important to find new approaches to the solution for above-mentioned tasks and to work out main points of the approaches chosen. In our opinion, poly-artistic approach is a conceptually new approach which provides the solution for the tasks in question. The main principles of the approach were based on the analysis of theoretical investigations of Russian researchers. As a result, we defined the aim of this approach usage in educational process, studied the phenomenon of polyart in the aspect of etymology and analyzed the notions with which it is closely connected. We also defined the main points of poly-artistic approach to the research of aesthetic education and development of a person and distinguished the potential of this approach in accordance with its focus on solving the problems of development of aesthetic culture of future teachers while familiarizing with cultural heritage of the native land. Given author’s concepts of poly-artistic approach to the research of aesthetic education and development of a person can be used by teachers in institutions of higher education for working out the methodological support to the process of development of aesthetic culture of future teachers.
