Multicultural mission of universities in the educational area of Russia

In today’s global innovative system the universities as centres of education will play a key role generating along with cutting-edge research results new implementing technologies. The article focuses on universities special mission to set stable national policy in a multiethnic state. Referring to the National-regional Kalmyk State University the author explores mechanisms of socialisation of the student community.
