In this work, we studied polymorphism for beta-casein gene of cattle herds, and it is determined the frequency of most common allelic variants A and B. Frequency of the desirable В allele at CSN2 gene among different breeds of cattle in Republic of Tatarstan amounted 0,05-0,10. The occurrence of this allele was minimal and within the limits of other cattle breeds.
