Polymorphism for kappa-casein gene of cattle herds in Tatarstan Republic

In this work, we studied polymorphism for kappa-casein gene of cattle herds, and it is determined the frequency of most common allelic variants A and B. the Frequency of the desirable allele at CSN3 gene among different breeds of cattle in Tatarstan Republic amounted 0,170-0,289. The occurrence of this allele was higher in cows of meat breeds than in milk breeds analogues.
