Genomic DNA polymorphism in annual sunflower species

The RAPD and SSR analysis of five wild annual sunflower species from the World VIR collection and cultivated H. annuus L. were conducted. The level of intra- and interspecific polymorphism was defined. Based on the results of RAPD analy-sis the UPGMA-dendrogram that reflects genetic relationships between species was constructed. The molecular genetics passports of all samples were made based on their genetic formulas. Annual sunflower species were also screened for the presence of fertili-ty restorer gene Rf1 for CMS PET1 using DNA-markers.
