Political correctness: the linguistic representation of social groups (based on “The Guardian”)

The article deals with the analysis of the peculiarities of the linguistic representation of the social groups in the British media discourse. There are revealed the basic ways of the lexical and stylistic representation of the basic groups in the context of the phenomenon of the political correctness (ethnic minorities and racial minorities, people in bad circumstances, people of no fixed abode, women, people with disabilities, representatives of the workers).
