To understand the modern judicial system, it is important to understand which bodies and which activities were the beginning of advocacy, prosecutorial craft and judging. Since the experience of the USSR plays the most important role in modern judicial proceedings, the article considers one of the first bodies of prosecutorial supervision, which laid the foundation for the modern image of the prosecutor's office. The process of creation and powers of the Prosecutor of the Supreme Court of the USSR, as the most important body of control over the legality of the activities of courts and the composition of laws in the USSR of the 20s of the 20th century, is considered.
