Powers of the inspector of the juvenile division in the field of ensuring the children's safety in the information space

In this article the author analyzes the scope of powers of officers of the juvenile divisions in the internal affairs bodies in the field of ensuring children's safety in the information environment as well as the protection from information that is harmful for their health and development. Taking into consideration the growing activity of minors in the information environment, their participation in various destructive groups created in the virtual space, the author suggests expanding the powers of the juvenile inspector and substantiates the determination of the administrative liability of minors' legal representatives for the neglect of children in the digital space. As the result of the conducted research, the proposal on the necessity to organize training and methodological support for the juvenile inspector's activities, subject to the specific character of activities in the field of minors' information protection was formulated.
