The article investigates the features of the culture of negotiations in Poland. Typical Polish tactics during negotiations involves the following efforts: establishment of good and harmonious contacts between people, demonstration of respect and goodwill to the other side, delicacy, avoidance of open criticism and other behavior that may offend the partner, using of polite statements. Poles also tend to shy away from direct and unambiguous expression of their goals and intentions, so non-verbal communication plays significant role in their negotiation culture. Poles are also emotional and vulnerable towards critical comments, especially when someone points out their mistake or lack of qualification. However, they do not attach much importance to the fulfillment of their obligations on time. In addition, Poles do not prepare for negotiations too thoroughly, because they prefer improvisation, and set short-term goals. They adapt quickly to the development of negotiations and show high level of flexibility.
