Development of heterotic hybrids based on new CMS sunflower lines

In this work influence of RIG0 cytoplasm on the morphophysiological traits of sunflower lines and hybrids, such as vegetation period, plant height, head diameter, fatty acid composition of oil and productivity was studied. Analysis of lines-restorers of pollen fertility, paternal forms of heterotic hybrids was conducted. As far as the CMS RIG0 based hybrids have the same economic traits as their analogues based on CMS PET1, they may be recommend-ed for using in the commercial sunflower seed production.
