Development of hybrids between spring rapeseed and white mustard using embryo culture method

Reciprocal crosses were made to produce intergeneric hybrids between spring rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) and white mustard (Sinapis alba L.) using embryo culture method. The best response was observed at cultivating of immature embryos isolated on the 17th day after pollination on MS medium applied with 0.2 mg/l 6-benzylaminopurine, 0.1 mg/l alpha-naphthylacetic acid and 0.2 mg/l gibberellic acid. The hybridity of the plants was confirmed by morphological traits and chromosome number. Some samples of this hybrid have aphid (Brevicoryne brassicae) resistance.
