The concept of «spirituality» in Russian psychological science during the formation of postsecular culture

The article examines the characteristics and typologies of spirituality existing in Russian science, the definition of its criteria, taking into account the latest period of social development and, in particular, its transition to the stage of post-secular culture, when simultaneously several scenarios began to be realized: from the ongoing secularization, orientation on a particular confession, which determined the religious approaches to the understanding of spirituality in society, to the formation of its current interpretations, the introduction of the term “new spirituality” to denote the predominance in it of the inner distinct world of man, promoted primarily by the supporters of the respective movement. The analysis of existing developments and generalizations regarding ideas about spirituality allows to draw conclusions not only about the specific dominant processes in this area, but also to detect current trends, a kind of conceptual shift and the influence of Western science on people’s consciousness.
