Forensic psychological examination is an important component of civil proceedings in divorce cases. An expert's opinion is necessary when the individual psychological characteristics of family members, spouses to each other, children to parents are established. The range of issues on which the examination is assigned is determined by the court, but often these are issues such as determining the child's place of residence, restriction or deprivation of parental rights. Due to the peculiarities of children's thought processes, the accuracy and indisputability of the expert opinion is an urgent problem. This article reveals the meaning, methods, current problems of forensic psychological examination.
