This article will raise the topic of determining the essential characteristics of the executive branch and present the author’s position on this issue. In order for laws and other acts to have meaning, they must be implemented. This is precisely why executive authorities are created, whose main task is to translate the norms of the law into practice, into reality. The author analyzed several different positions regarding the relationship between the concepts of “executive power” and “the system of bodies that carries it out.”
