The concept and types of housing stock and residential premises

The article examines the main objects of housing law in the Russian Federation, namely residential premises as real estate suitable for permanent residence. It provides a classification of objects (houses, apartments, rooms) and their division by ownership form (private, state, municipal) and intended use (permanent, temporary, social, commercial). The regulatory framework (Housing Code of the Russian Federation, Civil Code of the Russian Federation) and domestic scientific approaches to interpreting the conceptual apparatus are analyzed. Conclusions emphasize the need for further unification of terminology and improvement of law enforcement practices.
